CLUB RULES
1. The name of the club shall be "Mid-Sussex Cavy Club" hereafter called “the Club”.
2. The object of the Club is to promote the interest in, and the breeding and showing of all varieties of cavy.
3. The affairs of the Club shall be managed by “Named members” of the club. The “named members” will be recognised as a President, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. There will be other members that hold specific roles of responsibility.
4. The quorum for a Formal Meeting will be six, of which at least two must be “Named members” of the Club.
5. The “Named members” are to be accepted at the Annual General Meeting.
6. A balance sheet of accounts shall be prepared each year and shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting.
7. The Club Rules cannot be altered except at an Annual General Meeting or by the use of a questionnaire/referendum involving at least 20 regular exhibitors to the club.
8. An Extraordinary General Meeting can be held if a written request is received by the Secretary from any ten regular exhibitors of the club. The meeting must take place within thirty days of the written request being received by the Secretary.
9. All exhibitors at a show held by the Club accept to agree to abide by the SCC Club Rules and Show Regulations.
10. The “Named members” may, with reason, accept or refuse any exhibitor’s entry and attendance to a show.
11. Only the following people are permitted to offer stock for sale at a Mid-Sussex Cavy Club Show: bona fide exhibitors on that day, regular and known attendees to Cavy club shows, but not exhibiting on that day, and the judges engaged to judge that show. All such sale stock must be cleared by the Sale Stock Stewards before being offered for sale. SCC guidelines for Sale Stock will be followed.
12. The “Named Members” shall have full power to deal with and decide any matter pertaining to the running of and good name of Mid-Sussex Cavy Club, where not otherwise provided for in these rules.
